FAQ

Certifications, testing, and the questions that come up on every spec review.

What is flame certification and why does it matter?

Flame certification confirms that a fabric has been tested against a recognised standard for flame spread and self extinguishing behaviour. On a jobsite it determines whether the duct is permitted in occupied buildings, in confined spaces, and near heat sources. NTI Global products carry Certified Safe testing and are tagged accordingly.

Is NTI Global material third party tested?

Yes. Materials are tested by independent laboratories rather than self certified. Third party testing is what separates a stated rating from a verified one, and it is the standard specifiers ask for.

What industry memberships does NTI Global hold?

NTI Global is a member of the American Textile Association. Membership reflects ongoing participation in the standards and practices of the industrial textile industry.

What safety accreditations does the team hold?

Team accreditations include OSHA certification. Detailed staff qualifications are pending from marketing.

How long has NTI Global been manufacturing?

NTI Global has converted industrial textiles since 1983, over 40 years in the industrial ducting and hose market. The company is privately owned and now led by its second generation.

What patents does NTI Global hold?

Versa Duct ends are patented in the United States with patents 11,131,477 and 11,965,669, in China with ZL 201910197872.4, and in Canada with 3,006,658. VersaDOCK holds United States patent 12,487,004. VersaDOOR is patent pending in the United States and Canada.
